Raw Almond Basil Pesto ;-)

Ingredients for raw almond basil pesto:
1 1/2 cup fresh basil
1 cup almonds (raw unroasted)
5 cloves garlic
1/3 cup nutritional yeast
1/3 cup olive oil (cold pressed)
3/4 teaspoon sun fire salt (or other high quality salt)
1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Mix all ingredients in food processor and add to desired amount of spiralized zucchini pasta! Add garnish of olives or other favorite yummies. Please note: I found the amount of garlic in this recipe to be too strong, so after I added the prescribed ingredients I toned the flavor down by adding some more almonds and olive oil to make it just right. It's import to not restrict yourself to a hard and fast list of ingredients, and just play with the recipe until it suits you. It helps if you sing a little song while you make the pesto, makes it even more flavorful. Suggestions for songs to sing: Angela Stoke's "A Few of My Favorite Raw Things" :-)

Homemade Silly Putty!

The players: Sta-Flo liquid starch, Elmer's glue, and food coloring (I ended up deciding against using the silver glitter glue, as the finished product was magical enough already!!).

Use approximately two parts glue to one part liquid starch.

After pouring glue, add appropriate amount of liquid starch.

Mix well with a fork until mixture starts forming one uniform glob and easily peels away from side of mixing bowl without sticking.

Stretch and squeeze and make funny noises with the silly putty bubbles inside to make sure all of the starch is mixed in :o)

Add food coloring.

Fold dye into putty....but beware of pockets/bubbles of dye inside, as they may spontaneously burst and splatter on the floor, your shirt, and especially your right thumb ;-)

Voila! Now you have silly putty!!

Culinary Blissfulness ;-)

Green Goddess Trail Mix before....

Green Goddess Trail Mix during.... (getting ready to go in the dehydrator).

Greed Goddess Trail Mix after!

Ingredients:
fresh kale
Nama Shoyu (raw organic soy sauce)
**other natural soy sauces may be substituted for nama shoyu**
cold-pressed olive oil
cashews (raw, not roasted, unsalted)

Remove kale from stalk, shred into pieces about half the size of your palm, drizzle with olive oil and massage into all pieces, then drizzle with Nama Shoyu and repeat. Drizzle just enough to get some on all pieces, but but not so much that it pools in bottom of bowl. Spread on dehydrator sheet and leave in until crisp. Add cashews and voila! :o)

Getting ready to make Bugs' Brew (soon to be freshly juiced ~ named after Bugs Bunny).

Getting ready to make Goji Orchard Bliss...juice that will make you feel like a million bucks!!
